Henri Mauperché was a prolific landscape painter at the French court in Paris.
During the years 1639-1656 he created some fifty etchings, mainly depicting religious
scenes, set in panoramic ideal landscapes. |

| As a pupil of Louis de Boulogne I, Mauperché travelled to Rome in 1634. His graphic works show influences of Claude Lorrain, Sébastien Bourdon and Herman van Swanevelt. |

| This set of prints is considerably rare, all have remarkably ample margins and shows traces of previous binding in an album. |
