Brilliant impression, fine condition. 16.1 x 24.1 cm with margin all round.
In 1901/1902 Dupont worked in Nogent sur Marne. Horses and oxen working on
the land were his inspriration. In 1900/1901 he made his famous portrait of Steinlen.
Dupont played an important part in the revival of the art of engraving in this period.
This engraving is never published by van Wisselingh. The steeled plate has been
used for an extra in the Gazette de Beaux Arts in February 1903.
