In fact this print has become a drawing.
The print itself was to Verbeek in his catalogue only known in
one early impression. Printed in yellow and blue. It could well be
that the technique is wrongly described and it was in fact also colored in.
That one bears the text “Een van de eerste proeven.
Gekleurde etsdruk door Jan Toorop 28 Oct ‘98” .
The only other impressions mentioned in the catalogue are posthumous. |
