Excellent impressions, fine condition. Remargined.
 
The original prints are extremely rare. The copies published by Visscher, Ottens
and Claussin are much easier to get. If one looks at the size alone this must be
a series. All the horses are placed in Dutch landscapes. Two however are depicting
plough horses and horses which are nearly dying. The fi rst a Frisian horse seems to be
a portrait. The other two are different types in pairs. Maybe they represent stages in a
horse’s life.
