Excellent impression and condition.
Printed on heavy van Gelder paper as used for the few existing impressions.

Witsen himself made a list with descriptions of the prints he sold to the New York Public Library. Here he mentioned that only a few impressions were made, printed by Bouwens in Brussels. Some were given away to friends like Hofker (see my catalogue 2001, no.53).
 
The copperplate is now in the Rijksprentenkabinet in Amsterdam.
