| A good impression, still with burr, with margin all round. The composition reminds us of Christ healing the sick, the famous hundred guilder print. It is however much more intimate. Christ is not towering above the people, but has direct interaction with the figures around him except for the child in the foreground. The name La Petite Tombewas used by Gersaint, who based it on an earlier usage, which referred to Nicolaes de la Tombe, who may have commissioned the print. |
