This woodcut is illustrated in an article in Dekorative kunst in 1899 along with other early woodcuts by Mesquita. This article was written about the exhibition of Mesquita’s works in Paris at Bing. Since the exhibition was in 1899, some of the illustrated works could be somewhat earlier.
