| Excellent proof like impression with plate tone. Good condition. The design derives from Mola. The print was always ascribed to him or Carlo Maratta until a unique second state was found with the inscription “P. Mola F./Francesco Giovani Sculp”. In later states we find the addresses of Maratta and Frey. In this first state the print is exceptional rare. |
