Jodocus van Winghe went to Italy, where he stayed four years. After coming back he
became painter at the court of Alexander Farnese, Duke of Parma in Brussels up to 1585. Maybe because of religious reasons he left for Frankfurt.
The painting exists still in Gotha. |
