With the text “Ne te quaesiverus extra”
And “Ianus Lutma Batavus Per
se Opere Mallei. 1681”
30.1 x 21.8 cm.
 
Good impression. The dark parties enhanced with sepia.
Lutma used a rare technique,
the hammer to punch the plate,
typical for a silver smith.
In the same technique he executed three other busts; his father, Pieter Cornelisz. Hooft
and Joost van den Vondel.
